Having been in Tokyo for less than half a day, the weather conditions were perfect to visit Mt. Fuji. It's 90-120 minutes outside of Tokyo and requires a small feat of navigation using Japan's various transit systems - a challenge that I was not ready to mount given my complete lack of Japanese language skills. However, I managed to get myself to Lake Kawaguchiko, the perfect place to get spectacular views of Mt. Fuji. It ended up being one of the least "activity" oriented days of my trip, but a single activity which encompasses having this view all day is a damn great way to spend a day.
