Beside being historically significant and near Tokyo culture (Harajuku and Yoyogi Park are within a few minutes by foot), Meiji Shrine is still an active shrine, so the chances of catching a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony on a Sunday afternoon was pretty high - which is why that's the day I chose to visit.
