I love getting up early on a summer Saturday morning and heading downtown to take in the sunrise at the lake and ride around downtown - before the air gets hot and humid, before the streets are filled with cars and people, when it's possible to have a quiet moment to myself in the sands of Chicago's busiest beaches. Sunrise is ridiculously early though, so as much as I love it, I tend to do it just once and then choose to sleep in the rest of the summer.
As a bonus on this Saturday, I got test out my new cheapo Opteka 85mm 1.8 lens. For a cheapo manual lens, I was satisfied with the results.
