As a kid, I absolutely loved the Fourth of July, it was my favorite of all the "summer" holidays. I don't not love it now, but Memorial Day looms larger in my mind these days. Maybe its because I no longer run out in the street with mini explosives in my hands or that Memorial Day is the first official holiday (and day off work) since the start of the year - but that's what it is. However, this year, the Fourth was damn great. Grilling, relaxing in the yard, impromptu (illegal) fireworks displays by my neighbors - and the mosquitos were nice enough to not attack until the very end of the night.
